In August of 1975, I got talked into playing a couple of weeks (for some travel money before taking a Grey Dog and moving to Nashville) at the Captain Morgan Room, in the old Sam Millers Exchange Cafe, on the Columbian Block in Shockoe Slip. It turned into the past 33 years of "living off" music. Sam's moved across the street, but Tom Leppert is still running the place! We're celebrating 35 years from October 10-24 with all kinds of special events. Click on the banner at the top of the website for all the doings http://www.sammillers.com . I'll be playing a set around 7:00 on October 24.
